i just had a big argument with 4 ppl attacking me. didnt feel like staying there anymore so i left.
anyways. i hope the ratings will get better when we get to usopp emotional ep.
Also what happened to taking taking ratings discussion to the TV Thread?
so much feels yesterday at the end when they talked about merry.
i still remember the first time reading and felt as if im losing a friend![]()
I babysat the Toonami tag on Tumblr during the One Piece broadcast and, exactly as expected, quite a few people were pleasantly surprised from what I can tell. A lot of them mentioned looking forward to how Usopp vs. Luffy turns out. Next episode should be a real treat for them.
I couldn't gauge how many of them were actual new viewers of OP, but from how some of them worded certain things I'm pretty sure there were a quite a few OP newbies that felt the feels this weekend.
That's a job well done if I've ever seen one, and it only gets better from here on too.
~ They got the moves like Jagger ~
I noticed that one of the commercial promos of this episode blatantly spoiled Franky's face.... It's really not a big deal but still an obvious mistake to make lol.
My DVR missed the previous action packed episode, so I'm excited to be able to catch the upcoming fight on TV finally.
i feel very sad for usopp leave luffy's crew. sonny di a good job voicing his.
NEVER GIVE UP.
STRAGHT EDGE MEANS I BETTER THAN U.
Aaaand we dropped 200,000 viwers
Guys! Dont give up just yet! Its NOT over yet! I finally understand why Jason De Marco doesnt want to go back to daytime. Its because at night he can "defend" weaker shows that arent doing that hot in ratings. Have faith and believe in Jason De Marco.
Here is the article for last Saturday-Sunday: http://toonamifaithful.com/category/ratings/
I really hope that One Piece get pushed back an hour or so. I can't be staying up every Saturday until 1:00 am for a half-hour show
One piece is hard to appeal to the casual audience. You pretty much have to accept that. Wonky characters, slow pace story, doesn't make sense, etc...
I think that the rating issues comes from starting the show 200+ episodes in. The reason Water 7/Enies Lobby were so great and had emotional impact was because we actually cared about the characters and had been with them for so many episodes. By jumping in and losing out on all of the backstory, it's not that surprising why people aren't able to easily relate to and care for the characters
