I assume FUNimation's plans, once announced, will be pretty much the same (related to Movies 1-7 and 9). It'd be nice to have them all dubbed but if subbed is the only way we can get them, I'm fine with that too.

Holy shit UKAnime (MangaUK?). Doesn't One Piece for years...Licenses all the movies up to Strong World after 1 year of having the main series. They should do a box set though

Well that's super strange. Subtitle only releases? Does that mean they've given up of funimation acquiring other films for dubbing?

I think it's a subtitle release for the UK only as of now.

Maybe Funimation will dub the movies, distribute them here, and release the dubbed versions in the UK later.

Man, if they can acquire all the films like that, I don't see why funimation can't. Dubbing can't be that much harder to lisense.

Pretty nice that Strong World is getting a UK DVD/Blu-Ray release. I don't like PAL transfers nor subtitled discs, so I'm not really bothered about the subtitled announcement.

If Manga UK are doing this, I wouldn't be surprised if Madman Austraila are considering something similar, as they usually work together on things. I hope that this won't give Funimation even less of a reason to dub them, been as Manga may not wish to sub licence the dub from them to release films that they've already released.

Lots of someones, actually, though not really anyone on this thread that I can recall. It's easily the biggest One Piece myth out there.

I'm pretty certain that everyone in this thread is against the use of "nakama" in the English versions. And for good reasons.
