Probably but the issue is finding room for Ignatz in that role when you have so many other great choices. Off the top of my head Shamir, Bernadetta, Leonie, and of course Claude is OP in any bow-related capacity.

Someone made this fantastic video tribute for the series' 30th anniversary, with clips from all the games played over the main theme song. They also translated the lyrics, which are actually hilarious.

The devolution of Marth's sprite at the end is absurdly hilarious.

So this isn't the actual translation? Betrayal! Trust nobody!

So rather then finish invisible kingdom (which yes I haven't finished after about 2 years) I downloaded Shadow Dragon and well it's good thing I'm not new to the game and using guides to fill in some gaps cause boy.....some of these mechanics (or lack thereof) make this game weird.

Putting a healer in harm's way for EXP?

Yeah, even back then, someone should have noticed that was a dumb idea.

Well, it's the first one. What're ya gonna do?

Anyway, I've been playing it too and yeah, wow. The menus and battle forecasts of future games are an absolute godsend.

Some other interesting tidbits for those curious.
**No weapon ranks. Back in the day, many took Jegan's Silver Lance and gave it to Caeda. Hence why she got the Winged Spear in the remake.
    **No weapon triangle, either.
**A lot less promotions for classes. And Armor Knight and General were actually separate classes.
**Pegasus Knights promoted into Dragon Knights.

Yeah honestly it's hard to find the motivation to keep playing when the game is so much more awkward than every other tactics game I've ever played.

I haven’t had too much trouble with that aside from Mathis letting Marth double him on Map 4 like a dumbass good thin for the rewind feature.

Yeah, the Armor Knights could use both Swords and Lances like Cavaliers, but there was only one playable General in the one-eyed guy called Lorenz, and he only used Swords.

Also, another few tidbits, both Mages and Clerics promoted into Bishops (which means even the evil sorcerer Gharnef also was a Bishop), and the Hunter and Horseman classes were also separate (then Mystery made Horseman the promotion).

And yeah, since Pegasus Knights are exclusively female, makes you wonder how Michallis got his Dragon. :P

Right now I'm just spamming the arena on Chapter 8 now that I've beaten all the enemies. God willing, the enemy reinforcements won't reset and/or there's no turn limit on this game.

I spent like a 100 something turns leveling up Wrys on map 2 so it does look like there’s no kill screen shenanigans.

Been playing Binding Blade and just beat Chapter 21. I forgot to bring an Armorslayer or Hammer and was thus forced to use Roy to help whittle down Murdock. Through the magic of supports and a Rapier the usually underperforming kid did about 30 damage, the most of anyone! He even crit like a champ.

    Roy's our boy?

Hoolleeee CRAP 4-star Merlinus sucks. A 4-star should not have an Attack of 10 at level 11.

Considering he couldn't attack at all in the games he was, it's kind of a win.

If he can't attack for shit he should at least be a healer, but he's not.

I happened to play Binding Blade too actually, and just recently beat it. I think I randomly had a Fire Emblem video recommended to me on Youtube and then went down a rabbit hole. Eventually I got to a video making fun of FE6 for their reinforcements or something like that. So I ended up finding it online here, and I've been playing it the past month or so. I definitely abused arenas because of a lot of the stat growths are pretty bad. And I loaded saves if there were unfair reinforcements lol. I ended up losing one character, the 2nd male thief you get. He died in one of the fog of war maps in the middle, I didn't feel like resetting since thieves can't promote and you just buy chest/door keys in a couple of the shops. I ended up just using one bow user the whole game, Sue. And I kind of regret it. There are a ton of wyvern riders in this game and even the unpromoted ones can take some hits.

I thought the game was pretty good, but the second to last battle of the "true ending" was easily the weakest part for me. You go down a linear path and just fight dragons that are sponges unless you use your divine weapons. And then there are reinforcements following you in a straight line. It made me miss the earlier chapters where 4-8 wyverns would spawn out of nowhere lol.

There aren't really any overpowered characters at your disposal. Berserkers and swordmasters are crazy as usual, but their accuracy and strength respectively seem slightly more balanced then the other fire emblem games I've played. Besides Fa, but she has limited uses with her dragonstone. I only used her to finish off promoted units so she got near 100 xp every fight. Her stats end up being pretty ridiculous if you get her to 20.

Roy not being able to promote until like a dozen chapters after you'll likely cap him the first time is pretty damn hilarious. My Roy had horrible strength so I ended up using a lot of stat boosting items (which you can buy in a secret shop) to clean that up. So you don't really use Roy for half the game and can't rely on an overpowered lord unit. Lilina must have like 200% growth on her magic stat, she just destroys everything. I had give her a few dragonshields to up her defense. In one of the last chapters that had an arena, I decided to bring along my Lv. 3 Wendy and she has the weirdest level ups for a knight unit. She gets more speed than strength/defense. She ends up being a pegasus knight masquerading as an armor unit. It was weird seeing her double-attack units like sages and heroes. At level 8 or 9 as a general I think she had at least 20 in every relevant stat besides Resistance, what a beast lol.

That was fun to finally play Roy's game. Maybe I'll play Ike's next one of these days

Fucking hell. I changed my Nintendo password yesterday, so FE: Heroes had me sign in again. Except when I do it tells me "cannot display this page as you do not have access rights". What the hell does that mean? I can log into Nintendo on my laptop just fine, and this technically isn't telling me my password is wrong so that's not it either. It makes no sense.
