Aww, I missed the end of the old Naruto thread.

I still don't understand how this series is ending. I mean, I'm not that familiar with Part II, but it seems that Naruto has made NO progress towards becoming Hokage.
P.S. I'm aware that Naruto is bad and that Kishi is bad. But still.
It doesn't need buildup or anything. It'll just happen.
I would agree that this chapter wasn't half bad. But it still feels like it could be better. I mean wasn't butterfly mode supposed to make you so strong you didn't need to grow for the power. Let's not even get into how him going butterfly really doesn't make any sense. So why did Choji grow? By that I mean it would've been cooler if Choji had punched Asuma into a mountain causing it to be destroyed along with the surrounding area with the force of an explosion just like with the Jirobo fight. But I would imagine that would require effort on Kishi's part to draw something like that. I mean who would want to try to draw good art in your final battle of your long running extremely popular series, that's just ridiculous. I'm sorry it just seems it would be easier to draw Choji becoming a giant and punching then having him destroy the landscape at normal size like in the Jirobo fight. Kishi just doesn't care anymore. Although I guess the simple answer to this would be he doesn't want to harm Asuma but Asuma's dead so why should Choji care, I mean he's over harming his former mentor because he's realized it doesn't matter if you harm a corpse. I just felt that while Choji was somewhat cool this chapter he could have been much more impressive.
Overall the Asuma fight was a bit disappointing considering what could be done. Just like with Haku and Zabuza. All in all it feels like Kishi is resolving everything too quickly or just not in a satisfying way. Once again he doesn't care anymore, I really feel that way I'm not just saying that. I used to not really believe the whole "Kishi doesn't care anymore" belief but then I saw the art in some of these chapters and I finally realized that he's burn out and doesn't care anymore. If he refuses to try, I refuse to care. That's my motto for current Naruto chapters.

ending of nay-roo-to
Spoiler:
Kakashi vs Swordsmen was forgotten along with Onoki preparing to fight against Second Tsuchikage and Raikage forced to sit on a chair only giving orders instead of kicking the shit out of all the zombies. This is so sad...
Dear God. That is horrible. And some of it I honestly see happening, sadly enough. In fact all of it could happen. That's my biggest problem with Naruto, honestly. I have no idea what Kishi will do next. I used to think I knew what to expect from him and he wouldn't do anything extremely stupid. Then Pain brought everyone back to life and I believed Kishi wouldn't do that because that would be the stupidest thing ever. If he did it. Which he did. After that I completely lost all faith in the man knowing what he is doing. If this were Part 1 or even the early part 2, I would laugh at the idea of Kishi offscreening the 7 Swordsman or bringing Jiraiya back. There's no way he'd do something that stupid. But after Pain's resurrection there is no limit to the man's stupidity.
And that's the saddest part of Naruto for me. Anything can happen, and not in a good way.
So everything Cyan said is possible, some more so than others. Purposely bad theories that weren't meant to be taken seriously are concievable to be canon. We were actually joking about that moon thing and it came true. Although the Madara dying by a bug thing I highly doubt would happen, but it's very possible he'll die in a lame way since he's a lame villain as it is.
But... but... I didn't think they knew about his past before then did they?
I stopped reading Naruto during the Orochimaru fight after the Chunin exam, but I know the gist of what happens after (I plan on reading from the beginning this summer as after I stopped reading (for One Piece I might add) he picked it up).
Am I The only one that doesn't remember what Orochimaru was planning to do? Like, did he have a plan or something besides turning young teenagers into disgusting monsters?
he wanted to take over sasuke's body as his new vessel after helping him acheive a certain level of his potential.
unfortunately for oro, sasuke got too strong too quickly and oro was the one who got absorbed.
Team asuma's side story wrapped up. Next.
Hmm, does anyone else think the zombies are kinda metaphorical for how Kishi is resurrecting these old completed character storylines that didn't need any continuation or resolution just so he can stall for time?
Hm, I guess he didn't make enough bad guys...
