Uh, Freeze has killed a lot of people. A LOT. Presumably some of them parents.

And depending on how far back you want to stretch continuity, he has committed a LOT of crimes, including robbing Wayne enterprises specifically a bunch of times, and even held Bruce at gunpoint.

Bruce should be a witness, not a juror.

Isn't the link to Bruce parents and Freeze way to tenuous to ever be considered relevant?
It doesn't have to be a direct connection. Just "I have no sympathy for known criminals, and I think hes guilty before seeing any evidence." will immediately keep you out of trial. No lawyer wants that guy.

I've gotten out of jury duty because I've had friends in car accidents before and the case was about a drunk driver. It does not take much, if Bruce actually wanted to get out of it.

I think Ijust assumed Bruce wanted to do it or is doing it because he think it's his duty.

If he wanted to get out of it than yeah definitely he should easily be able to.

In the comic he's super pissed off and beating up bathrooms about it. No, he doesn't want to be there.

    That's Dc's classic multiverse.

Those universe are forged in a forge by a forgeron using magical metal in then raised up into the proper multiverse.

The unstable universe don't raised all the way to the mutiverse and are quickly destroyed. So there's a bunch of unstable worlds under the proper multiverse. They are the failed draft you can say.

The Batmen from the story are from some of those failed draft. The evil demon in the story is the bodyguard of the forgeron that got tired being in this shitty place and wanted yo go up the proper multiverse. The wole event is trying to sink the universe below were the failed draft are "the dark multiverse".

--- Update From New Post Merge ---

They are making new forces in the DC universe with the still, strength and Sage force. And my initial answer is no. It's probaby because they decided to tie it into the speed force. If it was just some new character with this concept I would probably be fine. But I'm really not into it.

Also I don't like them breaking the wall which I always liked as the insurmountable barrier. And I don't like all the special metal being so linked together especially the metal of the gods. I like when not everything is linked. To me it makes the world bigger not smaller(one of the reason I consider One Piece small).

Basically I'm being like those purist that hates change.

Am I the only one who absolutely hates the Silver surfer? I mean on paper he seems cool, silver guy, rides a surfboard at light speeds through the universe, goes on cosmic adventures has awesome powers and what not, but I've read his comics time and again and all he ever does is mope and complain, seriously it's all he does, he complains about his home world being destroyed and being Galactus pawn to help him destroy stuff.... which you expect at first, you know he needs to show some remorse of course..... but he never stops, it's constant for years!!!

they need to do with him what they did with Hulk, give his powers/appearance to someone else who will enjoy going on cosmic adventures with the glee and wit, like doctor who does in his series

Hell just rip it off call it the totally awesome silver surfer

He had a recent series written by Dan Slott that's basically Doctor Who (the author is even a huge fan) where he travels with a female human love interest. It's more lighthearted than the average Silver Surfer stories, so you should check it out.

    Spoiler:

I was under the impression Amadeus Cho's run as the Hill was divisive. Plus if you want to blame Radd's continued mopery on anyone I would think that would be the fault of writers who can't do anything new with characters.

It's "divisive" because Cho's not a white dude. The book itself is great. It's written by Greg Pak who is an excellent writer who has done the Hulk right plenty in the past.

Might be biased here since he did my favorite Hulk run of all time (Planet Hulk -> World War Hulk -> Son of Hulk -> Incredible Hulks).

Cho was one of the best new elements to the Hulk mythos Pak added back during World War Hulk, so actually doing something Totally Awesome with him is great.

Definitely should've taken the idiocy of the diversity kills brigade into account.

Yeah... there's a whole "thing" going on with that in the comic community right now... it's kinda super depressing...

Anyone been reading the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Reboot? It's owned by Boom Comics now, and there restarting it in current day but with them back at high school

I just started, so no real opinions yet, it's just weird to see characters interacting for the first time in a series that you've watched a tv show/read the comics for, that all have a long rich history together, that just got wiped clean

I finally read the first issue. I liked it more than I thought I would. Liking the minor tweaks while keeping the spirit of the series intact. As long as I think of it as an alternate universe take on Buffy I think I'm going to enjoy it.

Yeah I'm really enjoying it, I'm really interested in how there going to have Willow turn to a wiccan, seeing her go from powerless fangirl to all powerful super witch, is one of my favorite things about Buffy (plus she's my fav character) Reminds me of modern day Arya from game of thrones

how many other characters have done that? Gone from weak/regular to badass.... well outside of Shonen, Video Games, and super hero origin stories, or Hero's journey? as it happens too often in those things

also is Cordelia actually nice in this???

Alright, I'm caught up with New Buffy. Really liking this series, I'm officially on board.
The pacing is good, albeit a bit brisk (Jenny Calendar is here, boom). OG Buffy fans can handle it, we know the old continuity, but I wonder if new fans think it's moving too fast or not. Also love seeing a continuity without the soft reboots (Angel's history, Willow being gay, Vampires having personality, etc.) it makes things smoother.

I was surprised at Spike and Dru being the first big bads but it makes sense saving The Master for later. He's too big a baddie to take down early. I'm a bit on the fence with Dru and Cordelia but I think something will happen to turn their personalities into more like the original versions. Maybe a spell gone wrong for Dru and Buffy ruining Cordy's life for her.

Having Robin as a boyfriend is interesting. Hope they didn't do it without keeping at least some of his old history as a Slayer's son. I'm expecting big things from him as a future supporting character not introduced in the final season of a story.

Joyce's boyfriend, hmm. Not sure where they're going with it, but I'm intrigued.

Gonna talk about Angel #0 and 1. Tagging just in case.
    Spoiler:
I like it but I'm not sold yet. Best thing so far is Angel being a force for good out the box and not being so tied to Buffy when it comes to his origin as a hero. I liked Helen, too bad she died. I just like Angel having friends even if he's still broody. Too bad they keep dying. What makes Angel (the show) work for me were his interactions with his friends. I'm hoping we get the true supporting cast in soon.

Coby from One Piece comes to mind if we're talking zero to hero not applying to main characters. I can already see them sowing seeds for Willow's turn to wiccan. Hm, that reminds me, I wonder what they'll do with Oz. Maybe they can make him Cordy's boyfriend. Guess everyone in the Scooby Gang will be special, unless Robin joins as a regular. Slayer mom or not, he still an everyman.

More buffy stuff.... also am I the only one who hates that comics update monthly instead of weekly? I'm waaaaay to used to reading manga, I'm a spoiled brat

    Spoiler:
I wonder what the two souls thing is about? Also what is a soul bead, is that how they do magic stuf in this new universe? Is it like some binding contract? If so I would have rather Willow make said deal with something more powerful or worthy of the soon to be most talented/powerful witch of all time, instead the first random ghoul she meets.... maybe I'm just overthinking things

    Spoiler:
You mean when they were in the forest? I assumed Angel was there hiding. As for everything else, I'm confused as hell. Only thing I know is they're setting the seeds for Dark Willow in the future. I'm glad Robin isn't some ordinary kid in the reboot. Making him a Watcher spy is interesting. I hope they kept him being the son of a Slayer.

    Angel #2 talk
    Spoiler:
I really miss Angel's supporting cast. The character himself is okay and I'm liking the flashbacks, but he needs better allies to bounce off of. I'm tired of these all seeing, all knowing "friends" with almost zero personality.

Where's the best place to start for Marvel comics? There are so many different series; not sure where to begin. Thanks

There's folks here that know way more about it than me, so I'll just recommend what I love. If you're interested in the X-Men, read Joss Whedon & John Cassaday's run on Astonishing X-Men. The Incredible Hercules by Greg Pak and Fred Van Lente was fun. I also remember really liking Secret Warriors (Nick Fury spy book) and New X-Men: Academy X.

As for more recent stuff, I liked the last couple issues of Uncanny X-Men.
