Are there any Metroidvania-esque games that have a less side-scrolling style and instead go with a more top-down LoZ style?

Well China is a huge part of Blizzards income, not saying it's right but.....

also I find it very funny that Republicans are calling Blizzard out for not standing up to China because it's beneficial for them and are afraid of repercussions if they do but then refuse to stand up to all the horrible things Trump is doing because it's beneficial for them and there afraid of the repercussions if they do, Pot calling the Kettle black

^ Republicans calling out Blizzard is funny for the fact they have no problem helping to blow smoke up Israel's ass in spite of all the shit they do to Palestinians but have an American company kowtow to China and suddenly it's a bad thing.

If you had to rank fighting game franchises what would your list look like?

I know very little about fighting games but I know most of the big names (in no specific order)

    Street fighter
    Mortal Kombat
    Teeken
    Dead or Alive
    King of fighters
    Soul Caliber

and a few I just heard of recently

    Guilty Gear
    BlazBlue
    Skull girl
    Dark Stalkers
    killer instinct
    Virtua fighter
    Fatal Fury

and then the only two I've ever played

    Super Smash Bros
    Marvel vs Capcom 2

I'm trying to find a new series that's good to play, which is why I ask

EDIT: I did do a bit of research and from what I've seen both Guilty Gears and BlazBlue seems to have really cool character designs and fighting styles, I might check one of those out

    Virtua Fighter is best.

No one plays it outside Japan though, so it gets no love.

Doesn't help that there hasn't been a new one in over a decade.

I'd be happy with just a new port of 5 really. Other than the one crammed into the Yakuza game.

I played Virtua Fighter. Had 5 (I think) for the PS2. I've always been interested in the concept of fighting games but never really enjoyed them when I played them. At least for an extended period of time. It's fine playing them in arcades occasionally for instance. I liked Samurai Shodown especially when I found an arcade that had those games.

I wonder if Sega ever makes a new one, would Kiryu be in it as a guest?

Analogue's new system was leaked a little early.

It plays Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Game Gear, Lynx and Neo Geo Pocket Color games with various cart adapters.

This is why games like this are always shit. I'm pretty confident that almost nobody likes the "games as a service" model but you can't get away from it these days. And as much as companies like to pretend their item shop stuff isn't pay to win it usually is. It's always just a way to line a company's pockets. I imagine we have to hit a breaking point at some point. Also

The community has been asking for the ability to play in private worlds since before the launch of Fallout 76, and we’re very excited to announce that they are coming to the game with Fallout 1st.
Basically "we're happy to charge you $100 for something you wanted to be in the base game".

The best part about these private worlds is that they aren't actually private

Is anyone actually still playing Fallout 76? Good god. Or have they fixed all that made it bad between now and its release and I just didn't hear about it?

That's why I appreciate Destiny. They've had issues, but have never felt like pay-2-win. They're also at the point where all the expansions really feel like they're worth the money, though I haven't purchased Shadowkeep yet.
