Default Is there a FUNimation OP Conspiracy?

This is just a theory but please hear me out.

Remember when the DBZ wasn't done by FUNimation and we had all those edited 1st and 2nd seasons from Saban and every hardcore fan was pissed?
Then years later when FUNi released DBZ's first 2 seasons uncensored, every viewer was slightly more pleased.

Well, it was said in Season One; First Voyage and then again in Season Three, First Voyage's commentaries by Colleen Clinkenbeard and Mike McFarland that FUNi was actually looking at One Piece back before 4Kids had it but failed to get it. The two went on to say that after 4Kids surrendered OP over to them all the studio has been hearing is positive feedback from the fans.

Now take what they said and perhaps there was a conspiracy if Gen Fukunga head of FUNimation came up with the idea all along to let 4Kids take and run One Piece into the ground to the point that fans would beg FUNi to save the OP like they did with DBZ. That way the fans who had to put up with the crap version would accept any improvement and sales would go through the roof.

Just a thought, but then again we are talking about the company that decided DBZ's original score wasn't good enough. So maybe it's just my imagination. What do you people think?

    If it's true, it worked.

Either way, I namely buy Funimation DVDs because:
    -support the series
-Funimation does a pretty good dub
-my sister will never agree to watch sub

    In retrospect, who cares.

Why would they want 4kids to do a terrible job and decrease popularity before they picked it up? The first dub lead a lot of people to think One Piece was terrible and not worth watching.

Geeze, don't hold back so much, Stephen. Tell us what you really think next time.

@OP--no, essentially, your theory really doesn't make any real sense. The damage left in the wake of the 4-kids dub has cost FUNI a bit of cash they could have made otherwise, I would wager. And as someone else already said, who cares, really?

I'm assuming this is a joke.

If not... Why in the world would FUNimation want to decrease the popularity of what could have been a big cash cow for them?

I still do not know a single person in real life that has looked at One Piece beyond the 4Kids dub.
