I love Cabbage merchant too but... that joke is going to play super poorly in live action. A three second gag in animation will need a whole setup and props and onscreen destruction to register in live action.

It can work, it can be funny, but it'll be a lot more effort. It would be an easy, EASY cut to make... and as an adaptation they ARE going to have to make cuts and changes. If they tried to stay wholly faithful (and they aren't as we've heard from casting rumors) then they'll just get something shallow. It needs its own voice.

Keep the spirit, not the script.

Same for the One Piece live action.

I'm in the same boat as Robby. Avatar was as perfect as a show like it could get. If you're going to remake something that's perfect, don't try to do it better; do something new and different with it.

I don't trust them enough to do the next earth avatar tho. The world changed too much between aang and korra's time, between the industrial revolution and the spirit merge thingie, and the avatar losing most of their knowledge, there are a lot of moving parts for a tv show to nail the world.

Well, they made a full blown studio for it, so we're bound to get at least two projects out of it. That's something!

They know they have a brand that could be their Star Wars given enough time and love, just... Nick itself isn't the place for it. It doesn't fit anything else on the channel. Finding new homes and outlets its the right move.
