Even still, I don't really feel like BvS = Avengers. I can defend that at least.

The movie was more of an introduction towards their Batman, more than anything else. It was a sneak preview of Wonder Woman, and how awesome she is, but it was meant to establish Batman.

Was it a good introduction/establishment of Batman? ...Not really?

I meant the pointless mess. I know where you coming from in you original post, but the way you phrased it was quite fitting to that era.

Your last question on the other hand is a mystery for me, again XD

Apparently Warner Bros. is holding off on reviews until the 15th. They similarly had a close-to-release date for the reviews for Wonder Woman, but dropped it after the reception was good.

So I guess that will be our first indicator here, if WB drops the review embargo before the 15th.

Flashpoint also now has a complete script, but it's being held off until reception of JL comes in before they move forward with it

Yeah, Native Americans in WWI are ridiculous! There were also absolutely zero Croatian deserters, it's not like that was a common thing.

And as for the Turks... where was a Turk in the movie? I don't remember any Turks on the Allied side in the movie... The only time the Turks were mentioned was on the German side...

Also, the folks they had helping them were mercenaries.... they weren't on anyone's "Side" except the ones paying them.

    This. 1000x This.

Any time I'm in a comic book setting there are going to be those DCEU Fans who can't take that there is a good chunk of us who hated Batman V. Superman. The excuses for why are as numerous as they are dumb:

1: "You're just whiny baby Marvel Fans who can't take it now that DC is kicking Marvel's Ass!"
(I'm a fan of both Marvel and DC in the comics, but prefer DC. I am LOVING Rebirth right now)
[This one IS dying now that Wonder Woman gets praise however.]

2: "The plot wasn't a confusing mess! You're just idiots who can't understand a more intellectual movie."
(Watchmen is my favorite Zack Snyder movie and I think he did a solid job adapting it even if he didn't hit every mark)

3: "You're just hating on Zack Snyder because it's popular to hate on him! You know he did write Wonder Woman right?"
(Ok, first, see my answer to #2. Second, He was one of 4 people who got a "Story by" credit, he was not the only voice in there nor did he write the final screenplay or direct.)

Or the variation on this one:

3b: "You can't hate on BvS or be worried about Justice League! Zack Snyder had a personal tragedy! How dare you criticize anything he's done! This tragedy means his work is perfect and can never be criticized!"

It's just this one movie that really isn't worth it in the long run. I mean, it was the second movie of the DCU.
    Eh...

Personally I liked Man of Steel more than I disliked it, It WAS nice to finally see Superman get into an actual fight with a supervillain in a movie instead of the villain just being Lex Luthor with a zany real estate scam again. But it was severely flawed. If I had to give it a score out of 10, I'd probably give it like a 6/10.

Suicide Squad was pretty bad. Which makes me sad because aside from one very big exception, the movie has a stellar cast. Harley, Boomerang, Deadshot: All perfect casting for these characters... and especially... Amanda. Freaking. Waller. Oh wow is Amanda Waller perfectly cast. Like, Waller and the rest of the cast is so good I almost want to forgive the movie for Jared Leto's Joker (Almost, let's not get crazy)

But the movie was very obviously reshot and recut after the reception to the trailer to make the tone fall more in line with the trailer so we end up with a disjointed film with some tone whilpash issues as a result. Also the vilain was weak.

Enough was good here that I really hope they get it together for the second one. maybe going in and knowing from the get-go what kind of tone they're going for will produce a better film? Because again, stellar freaking cast. They deserve another shot for that alone.

..... Wait, I'm doing this wrong... I can't have a varied and complex opinion of these films....

Uum... Whoo boy, them films was badly edited they wuz!

I no like bad edited movies. Give good edited films please, then me like.

Yeah, Incredible Hulk was mediocre, but I honestly think Iron Man 2 was worse if only because it feels like there's a good movie in there buried under the ham-fisted Avengers setup.

Pretty much my feeling. I enjoyed the movie, mostly. I do think that Henry Cavill could have been a better Superman if he had a proper story/script and better directing.

In all honesty though, the only point in the movie where he REALLY felt like Superman was this:

Now imagine if that scene had been shot in brighter colors?

Yeah, it's not John Williams, but Hans Zimmer did a nice job.

People still would've complained about him not being upbeat enough, Johnathan dying in such a lazy way, Jor El whooping Zod's ass, and the collateral damage caused in other scenes.

Hearing Elfman's Batman theme in one of those new JL clips.....there's something just so right about it.

tl;dr: It's about what you'd expect from a Joss Whedon movie with Zack Snyder choreography that has the intent of undoing BvS.

Superman is kind of reaching to be honest.

Thor and Aquaman should have been "fish out of water".

Nothing to be sorry for, that was literally the whole plot of Thor's first movie.
