Kaori Warning ending is kind of a bummer, but at the least it’ll be a nice small set of volumes for me to order.

Well, this could be said about Boku no Hero Academia too, since everybody pointed the manga as the "next Naruto", created huge hype and it was pushed even more but the reality is that the manga sales are "Bleach level" at the best.

Also, is just the beginning of a long anime, so Black Clover will have enough time to grow on sales like World Trigger that was from less than BC before the anime to 400k, and with that anime by Toei.

Well, the good news is that Hero Academia's sale is still increasing. So, don't give up.

Not really Heroaca was not pushed as heavily as BC hell the editor in chief himself stated that BC was the next Naruto in a recent interview. In any case Heroaca exceeded expectations twice by gaining another boost in its second season while BCs boost is looking to be less than WT at this point which is far less than the boosts Souma and Heroaca recieved in the same time period of their respective first seasons.

I don’t think the EiC saying he wants Black Clover to be as big a hit as Naruto means they’re artificially pushing it as much as have faith in the product and want to support it becoming as broad a success as possible (like Naruto’s insane global multimedia success.
I don’t know that it’ll ever actually be as big as Naruto, but as an effort goes they seem to just believe in it more than HeroAca. Probably off the back of amount of failures the author’s have respectively, but who can say.
I dunno, I want them both to be huge, especially BC, which seems to do really well with the younger end of Jump’s reader base

My main complaint about Black Clover is that the evil guys lack subtility. But i understand that works well with a young audience. I donít feell like it was really pushed either.
Neverland and Kimetsu are the 2 series which are pushed at the moment. They had an incredible number of color pages

All the terrible nobility seems like the Celestial Dragons. They're just so over the top in their hatred of the poor.

I do get where he's comming from, we are jaded and we can trace the genealogy of Black Clover and it's ideas, but for some kids, this is their first exposure to a medieval fantasy setting, with the underdog but secretly op protagonist who joins a band of misfits who aren't family but they kind of are. I have some liking on the series as well as it's characters.

This isn't true at all, first, Boku no Hero Academia was pushed a lot when the anime started, even more in season 2. Second, Shueisha/EiC didn't stated that Black Clover "is" the next Naruto, it was stated that they "want" BC to be the next Naruto, there's a difference, and you think that they didn't wanted the same thing for BNHA? you think that Shonen Jump wasn't aware of all the "BNHA is the next Naruto" hype around the series that was created since the beginning? i don't know exactly what expectations Boku no Hero exceeded, this is the manga that everyone thought that would go sky rocket with the anime, but can't even reach 600k inside the top 50.

About Black Clover boost being less than World Trigger, this is totally innacurate, when WT anime started in October 5 (2014), the manga barely got a boost, the 8th volume that was released with the anime sold only 114,309, basically the same that vol 7 did and got kicked out of the top 50, BC volume 13 that was released last month with the anime already got a boost seling 180k inside the top 50 when vol 12 sold 149k.

Well, the thing people forgot about Hero Academia is that it never got long animation, like Naruto and Bleach; it only getting season-by-season. If Hero Academia actually got long animation project, then it might actually more popular than current.

Or if the first season was 25 episodes instead of 13 too, it would adapt the entire festival with the "Midoriya vs Todoroki" fight, it would be perfect. For me it was their biggest mistake to make only 13 episodes.

Of course its true. The first volume of MHA sold out three times when it was first released because Shuiesha didn't put enough stock in time so supplies were limited compared to Black Clover, Neverland and now Dr. Stone which never sold out of its initial stock also the amount of color pages MHA got in comparison to those three were minimal in comparison as well. Also all Jump manga get pushed when their anime starts we're talking before the anime.

Second, Shueisha/EiC didn't stated that Black Clover "is" the next Naruto, it was stated that they "want" BC to be the next Naruto, there's a difference, and you think that they didn't wanted the same thing for BNHA?
There is no difference. And the fact remains that that is what the EiC pushed towards Black Clover not MHA. Now until you actually show proof that the EiC had the same expectations for MHA then you're talking out your ass.

you think that Shonen Jump wasn't aware of all the "BNHA is the next Naruto" hype around the series that was created since the beginning?
There was never any if there was the EiC would have said the exact same thing he said towards BC. There was never any groundings towards MHA being the next Naruto that was just something people conducted on their own because the series serialized coincided with its ending and that's it.

i don't know exactly what expectations Boku no Hero exceeded, this is the manga that everyone thought that would go sky rocket with the anime, but can't even reach 600k inside the top 50.
But it did skyrocket and it has reached over 600k

Really and truly where do you conduct these absurd claims that MHA didn't meet Shueisha's expectations? Or rather your own absurd expectations? I'll never understand why Heroaca's existence makes people so salty.

Nope. The boost World Trigger got went from 150k per volume to 350k. The 13th volume of BC debuted with lower numbers that the previous volume and has already fell out of the top 50 after three weeks at the rate its going its boost will have it at 250k since volumes aren't moving at the same level of speed like Heroaca did when its boost started since unlike BC its first week sales had the highest debut at that time .

Dr. Stone is first? That's great. It's been the series I've been most looking forward to every week recently, too.
