Nope, for now is just the estimate value. Value that is done by calculating the weekly and Monthly data provided until now.

But, the number should be pretty close to this. So, don't expect any ironic ending.

^In the Japanese Wikipedia we have that since 1999(2nd year) to today One Piece has been number 1 series in the Full year Series Sales, with the exception of 2005 and 2006. In 2005 One Piece lost to Nana, that was getting its live-action boost. In 2006 it lost to Death Note and Nodame Cantabile, both were getting their anime boost.

So in its 1st year it didn't got in 1st place, from the 2nd to the 7th(and so 6 years) it got in 1st place, it got 2nd and 3rd in 2005 and 2006 respectively, and from the 10th to 18th(and so 9 years) it got again in 1st place. Ran for 18 years, 15 of them got in 1st place.

Do you happen to have the particular sales numbers (for the full years 1999-2008) for One Piece?

Nope, just the print numbers -> 153,000,000 Million copies, with 52 volumes. Volume 52 sold 1,952,551 copies from December of 2008 to November 2009, by Oricon. The Producer of Film Z said that at the time(March 2008, the Episode of Chopper Movie), each volume would sell 2.7-2.8 Million copies.

Oh, and Myanimelist has this club that tries to track manga sales numbers from various sources: http://myanimelist.net/clubs.php?cid=65525

I really enjoyed Buddy Strike. I hope it is a success for Kaito.

Kind of shocked that s/he went with a baseball series of all things, but I wish it well; Cross Manage definitely had its moments so maybe this will spin into something really great. Jump has a ton of sports manga running lately... 6 in the current lineup if you include Mononofu, though Best Blue will definitely be getting axed in the next week or so.

Lol@ those Cross Manage parallels. Kaito pls.

I preferred CM though, to be honest. It feels like Kaito's awkwardly trying to force in the shonen-ness that CM lacked.

    Spoiler:
The main pitcher and catcher's names are Ryou Arakami and Kaname Adou respectively, for anyone who wants to know.

So 2015 will be the first year without publishing a chapter.

    Shame....
