If you count the Kurapika One-Shot, every year since publication has actually had at least two chapters published!
    Ahhahahaha this website is hilarious.

But it made me notice we are already five weeks late to celebrate Togashi day. Something must be done about it!

But, I'm not sure if they can getaway from GFC curse.

Agreed on the 2 standouts from this round of GFC. I finally figured out why Toteku's art seemed so familiar... it was the same mangaka who had that Kokkuri Yaai! one-shot a couple years back that was pretty decent.

What was the last GFC winner that found success? I would say Mago and Beelzebub both had pretty good runs but they did end up getting canceled in the end I guess.

The last success series from GFC is Beelzebub. Furthermore, since Beelzebub, 8 series from GFC (both winners and runner-ups) ended up being cancelled within 20 chapters. I'm seriously think there isn't any point of doing GFC now. If this year's GFC also got messed up, then I suggest the Jump editors to give-up on GFC and give this right to Shounen Sunday.

Not showing up for Togashi day is already celebrating the spirit of it.

If you remember I've had some obsession episodes about the magazine, and the wish to document its story, failing to produce anything worthwhile beyond the list of links to covers and TOCs.

Last time I started to catalog the series from the ancient times of 68' and grew bored with the lack of data and conflicting information. So this time I plan to start closer to the present times, cover a 1 year period, focusing on the mid tier series, things like shaman king and houshin engine who were somewhat of a hit but fizzled out, then the short lived series victims or fodder for the serialization ecosystem of WSJ, then hit authors pre and post fame works trying to include one shots when possible, and last but definitely not least the behemoth series, anything with more than. 25 volumes, of more than one publication, or editions or adaptations, even if I'm going to speak only about WSJ manga.

The last time I counted there were over 600 series and that was like 2-4 years ago, so even if my motivation last, and I tackle like 10 losers in a day, its going to take a while.

I'll do it as comfortably as possible until I cover 100 series with a new thread, trying to find an order. I'll be completely open to suggestions (other than change the study target), specially if anyone read the manga in question and has any interesting trivia or review.

First of all I'm looking for motivation, if anyone is interested in reading this say so. I think that I have another thread here, and a few post in this thread, but I don't think that I'll be reading those until I get a style on to avoid doing the same.

If anyone has a favorite year of publication I'll take suggestions, but I think that I'll start on 2008 to get to view the 40th anniversary illustrations.

At-least Togashi has shown some signs of life activity recently ever since he went on hiatus.

Hopefully Sesuji wo Pin ranking this poorly won't be a trend.

It isn't too disconcerting, considering two other series from its serialization round were recently axed and the 2 new series are being promoted, plus it has Best Blue and Kagamigami() as buffers. Also World Trigger is absent and it has a tendency to hang down there as well.

Goodnight Best Blue, though we won't be together much longer I am going to miss you. Hopefully Shonen Champion follows the trend and does a swimming manga. All I have is Somersault Turn....

Kind of a bummer that isn't on the magazine itself. Jump SQ is the monthly one isn't it?
