Catch? Isn't the theme of "Boom" explosions and bombs? Maybe you mean Golden Rabbit?

Oops.. I Wanted to talk about golden rabbit first. The idea was good but the art didn't really appeal to me. I voted for BOOM cuz of the reasons I stated on my last post, lots of potential and solid artwork for a one shot. And also I think bombs are super cool :)

So what'd you guys think of those little Christmas strips in Jump Alpha today?

  4. #7364

    They were fun little stuff.
Also, the Bleach and Naruto strips were far better than how the series have been in recent years, by virtue of having the personality of their early years.

Nope, there going to be a giant (well, I'm not sure it actually going to be that big).

i wanna see Fuji..how will they make him...CG..?

as manga characters almost always look like 'international' casts,a Japanese live film adaptation somehow dampens my enthusiasm....same happened while watching Death Note...
though i liked the look of Kenshin...

Well, there going to be actor for Fuji (not sure about if he is just doing voice or actually acting). So, they can either make Fuji big with CG or just bring actor with Yao Ming's size.

I wonder why we don't see him in the pic then.

As for size, I expect they will take a middle ground, and just go for an "unusally large man" instead of a giant.
The first movie did a good job of skirting the line of comical exaggeration and the plausible.

Pretty much what Musashi said. It's not very long and it's following the traditional sports manga story development model very closely, but it isn't really hurt by that whatsoever. If you go into it expecting another Eyeshield, you're not exactly going to get that cause it's far more realistic, but it's still funny and interesting enough in its own right to be able to float just fine.

Storywise it's pretty much wrapping up the "let's make sure everyone plays together and to everyone's strengths" phase that comes right after the "let's get our best team together" phase, and seems to be moving onto the first real action-packed period, so now is definitely time to jump on board because it's only going to keep getting better from now on.

As a caveat, though, its art is not very good. Not by any standards. But if you can get over that fact, I would say it's definitely worth giving a shot.

Haikyu has an art that does great with a sport serie in my opinion. An original trait that will probably be completely erased in its animation like usual.
