just red all off kuroko no basket. fun read although knowing what coming next doen`t need a crystal ball. I think this series will end in a year or so. depends on how long they will drag on the finale battle.

how many of the other series will not last one year?

I would put money on Naruto ending before the end of 2014.
Kishimoto has basically said he isn't rushing with this final arc, and he has definitely kept a really good pace with most battles,
but he has also totally left some things to the imagination for the sake of time.
Luckily the anime did take advantage of this and supported the idea of "implied filler."

Bleach probably only has a year's worth of content left too, but this will definitely be spread out over 2-3 years and many 2-page spreads.
I actually do like Bleach though.

I kinda feel I am the only one who actually likes the big three. :( (Considers Bleach, not Toriko, a part of the big three.)

    You mean

Bleach only has three month of content spread over three years.

One of the best manga being serialized right now, period.

You spelled Shingeki no Kyojin wrong.

Sounds like he used a monkey paw to make a porno story come true.
Then the curse of the paw eventually killed him.

    Meh.
I wish it didn't look like a college student's "my first modeling" project.

No I didn't. And to be frank, while Shingeki no Kyojin is amazing, it has a lot more fault than Kingdom.
That's not to say it's also one of the best out there, but still.
I've read the whole series of Kingdom up to the most recent chapters, and it has very few weak points.

I'm reading kingdom but don't really know much about ancient china. So how much of it is based on real facts beside the name of the characters ?

The details are almost entirely fictional.
However, the grand scheme of flow of events are historical.
Such as, which country invaded what, who led, who died, what battles were won and lost.
Most of the characters are historical as well, although their personalities, identities, and impact to the story are mostly fictional.

I just read the Kingdom one-shot in next week's WSJ. It wasn't bad, but the story was extremely simplified to fit a shounen manga magazine, with a stereotypical villain. Violence was toned down too, obviously. No decapitation and limbs flying everywhere, etc.
No idea where in the story this fits though... Xin is already a thousand-men commander, his side-kick/sister-like/heroine is already the strategist, yet the Alliance Invasion haven't taken place yet... I guessing somewhere between volume 23~24.

And as for Soul Catchers..... geez, it was almost exactly the same as the one-shot version.
The differences were extremely minor, and even the same lines, same scene transitions, etc. Hell he probably could have just brought the one-shot over and continued from there lol.
My impression of it is, obviously, exactly the same as the one-shot. Not bad, but I'm worried about its survival.

To be so close to the one-shot fills me with dread. Any readers anticipating it are just gonna be pissed off at reading the same material. I mean... It's good material, a great start, but that bums me out.

EDIT: oh also hey look at that I'm like past halfway with the assistant guide from KTR
    Spoiler:

FEV? Your name isn't Richard Grey, is it?

Also, Kawashita Mizuki was supposed to have a oneshot on Square, right? Did that happen yet? Anyone know what it was (or will be) about?

Ah, thanks for the info. Looks like she teamed up with a writer this time, too. Hopefully that means this one lasts a bit, because none of her work after Ichigo 100% has managed to survive for more than 4 volumes...

Nope, I got confused too but if you count HxH is number 10 in that bottom 9 so it shouldn't really be on the list.
