The Double Issue is essentially the content of two Jumps, but not two chapters from what I've understood. It's a issue when Jump takes a break.

A double issue is the same as a normal issue, except it's for two weeks instead of one.

Why don't they just call it volume 5, and have only 50 volumes per week. So it has no more content, just takes up two weeks instead of one...

Can we get a translation on those one-shots by any chance?

Well it depends if some scanlations groups wants to do them or not,if we are lucky we get few( i check manga traders or mangahelpers to see if there news about them).

Itís mainly to ďannounceĒ to the readers that the magazine is taking a break. If the readers see that itís a double issue they know that next week there is no Jump. It is an easy way to inform readers.

well there are 52 weeks a year, so with them using double issues to denote breaks, it's also a pretty effective way to know if they printed a year's worth already or something.

if i'm to read any of those oneshots judging from first glance, i'd probably pick up GBS and that one below it. the others don't have much of an impact.

in any case, i'm not expecting trans unless one of these gets serialized.

my impressions, from left to right, top to bottom:

Zombie Smile: someone likes Nijuma Eiji's new manga. does the girl carry the zombie boy in the barrel on her back?

Iron Curtian: a manga about communism? unlikely. but a military theme? I'm down.

Suzumori: dude looks like luffy, girl looks like early 90's style. not a clue.

    GBS: Baseball? snore.

99 Tsugumo: strange title. is he holding a paintbrush, a wand, or what?

Megaton Cherry: yup, sounds like an ecchi/romance.

Pandakyou: is that a panda who is also a doctor? someone likes Otters 11.

Cross Manage: Lacrosse? that's a new one. I'd like to see a new, good sports manga.

Ghostrong: that's some crazy hair, and reminds me of Siskel's, from Ghost Trick. Except dark, and gone insane.

Love's Cupid: that is a creepy picture, and the title makes it even creepier. ecchi for SURE.

Horse Car Horse Carted: this one has a strange title. I don't know how the author wants the kanji pronounced. Horse can be either Uma or Ba (or sometimes Ma), and Car can be either Kuruma or Sha. So, some combination of those. and I think the last one is Carted, because that makes sense, if the title is about horses and cars in a western theme. My guess? Ma sha uma Carted.

I can't help but think that Iron Curtain will be like a communism-themed Hetalia. Suzumori's protagonist looks like Luffy with a sprig growing out of his head, and I don't wanna know what's going on with Love's Cupid.

I'm so gonna laugh if Love Cupid is horror themed and the name is supposed to be ironic

And I would be interested in seeing how the Japanese see communism, especialy in gag form. They put Gorbachev in a puzzle game, so the sky's the limit.

    Badass.

    Spoiler:

I suppose, everyone knows Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku manga about mahjong geopolitic battles of unseen scale and pathos?

    Cute.

    Spoiler:

Witch Vasenka's War by Hayami Rasenjin, history enthusiast.

    And fucking weird.

    Spoiler:

Dance! Kremlin Palace is a perfect example of absurd, surrealistic guro gag manga that. NSFW. Why so Japan, Japan.

    Whichever way you want it.
