I read a couple pages of sket dance and went crazy, how long do you have to stay with it to really enjoy it?

what I'm catching up on currently: Gintama, lone wolf & cub, Nausicaš of the Valley of the Wind, and lost in poem (by our very own AP member GEPPETTOSMONSTER)

certainly longer than "a couple pages", numbnuts! :P try finishing a few chapters next time before you judge a series!

seriously though, it's great. If you like Gintama's humor, you'll like Sket Dance. Except Sket Dance isn't as obscene.

8 chapters ago was a gag episode about absurdness of how rich Unyuu's house is.

    Spoiler:
Her house has more money than the entire economy of Japan.

So I assume it's an anime effect.

Except the entire chapter of 197 was dedicated to a club that discuss nothing but vulgar chat.
The Gesuling Club. (gesu = vulgar, obscene)

EDIT: Oh, wait... I counted wrong. 8 chapters ago was the above chapter, 197.
As silly and funny as it was, there's no way this chapter ranked number 1 on its own, so it's gotta be anime effect lol

More like, talking obscene things makes Sket Dance no.1 ?!!!!! lol
So, Sket Dance finally taking over Gintama even in obscene jokes department... lol, Gin-san really gonna flip-out! and now, Gorilla Sorachi's going to throw away Gin-san, replace him with Kin-san and start a new series called Kintama!

How is the anime for Sket Dance? Is it faithful to the manga? Is Gintama's anime faithful to its manga too?

Like most manga, it doesn't really start with a bang. There are some really good chapters early on (the seventh chapter introduces one of the more consistently hilarious characters, and the ninth gives a good sense of how well it handles more serious moments), but I didn't really get hooked until Tsubaki became a more important character. Then Bossun's backstory arc (Chapters 82-90) pretty much established it as my second-favorite currently-running manga.

    Magico gets higher, me likes.
Top 5 is awesome, except Naruto.
Naruto is so cool it has 600 billion naked Zetsus with armadillo penises dancing under an rainbow.

    Kurogane started great!
And I agree with you, Reborn could be in the top five instead of Naruto...
Toriko, Gintama and One Piece are my favorite series on the Jump. And Sket looks cool.
    Nah.

Reborn should be on bottom 5.

As for HxH I already said this, I think this is just a way to the fans to express that they are tired of this hiatus... Togashi still will probably not give a shit and in two months will be back to Dragon Quest.

P.S: Yes I'm repeating this every week.

Wtf how do you get the idea that i want to see this fucking junk called Reborn in the Top 5?

Ideal Top 5 would be :

    One Piece
    Hunter x Hunter
    Gintama
    Toriko
    Beelzebub
Theories : Buggy will become a shichibukai just cuz of the Impel Down lvl 6 prisioners behind him, Moria is alive but in a coma, Ivankov will find Sabo in the New World as 1 of the Rev. Army commanders, next nakama is a fishman something like a Great White

Look on the bright side. If HxH gets canned, Togashi can finish his Dragon Quest Let's Play.
