    One Piece
    Hunter x Hunter
    GinTama
    Toriko
    Beelzebub
I'd say this is pretty much my ideal top 5. Sadly I don't think it'll ever see the light of day. OP and Toriko may be top 5 mainstays, and Beel and GinTama have had their time in the sun, but HxH tends to rank low in the polls. HxH is all about the volume sales. It's not hard to see why it ranks low. With how infrequently it comes out it's difficult for people to follow what goes on with the chapters. But regardless, those are the 5 series in current Jump that I think are the best. I have not yet read Sket Dance though.
My Hero Academia is my favorite manga series right now. At least so long as the high of its greatness remains. United States of Smash.

would you want a shitty movie like shark boy and lava girl to do way better then an amazing movie like The Prestige?

plus most people read multiple series here, I read Hunter X Hunter, Naruto, Reborn, Beelzebub, and toriko and tough some of them may be bad, none of them deserve to be lower then Bleach

so why would I want a guy who writes/draws a halfassed manga with no plot, no background, no emotion besides facepalming and the occasional Kenpachi's awesome (which itself is starting to wear thin) do better then artists who work on progressing story lines, coming up with interesting NEW character designs and try to keep the reader interested for more then just a pay check, even naruto reborn deserve better credit then Bleach, and that's a fact

what I'm catching up on currently: Gintama, lone wolf & cub, Nausicaš of the Valley of the Wind, and lost in poem (by our very own AP member GEPPETTOSMONSTER)

No it's not. Do you even understand the rankings? Bleach has been consistently bad with abysmal writing and art, Naruto and Reborn are another level of crap, these three I have stopped reading because I just couldn't handle reading tripe on a weekly basis. These mangas being higher in the rankings than other better mangas is what is bugging people out. Recent mangas like Omagadoki Dobutsuen getting canned because it wasn't doing well in the rankings and now Magico is in danger of getting booted because of that very same reason. I wish the three mentioned were consistently ranked bottom until they were canned, you think that is petty?

Because apart from the unfairness of crappy series, where authors give the most lazy art and/or the most terrible stories, being so high whereas other authors work far harder and put in much more effort and yet must rub shoulders with these hacks, they take up valuable slots in the magazine preventing potentially great series, clearly better than these hack manga, from surviving. To put it another way, the ranking system was designed to let only the best of the best survive and yet somehow systematically engineered Yu Yu Hakusho rip-offs and abysmal baby gangster manga are thriving. It's a spit in the face to all those aspiring authors whose guts burst onto the floor because of all the hard work they do to even get in.

Yes it is kind of petty, it's not naruto or bleach's fault these series get canned and why should you even care if you don't read them anymore? Honesty I've never cared for the ranking at all. It really doesn't matter at all where top sellers are ranked because y'know, they'll still be TOP SELLERS and won't get canned. The ranking only exist to feed fans egos.

Do manga's like bleach deserve it's high ranking? yes because people vote for it, there's nothing unfair about that is there?

Honestly it's not really a big deal if bleach is higher than your favorite jump series is it? ranking don't dictate which is the better, taste and opinions do. As far as I care if a series I like is doing well and not in the bottom five I'm content, I don't need it to BE in the top five.

Well it did weed out several rather.....bad series we've come to across in the magazine in the past two years or so.

Then again, OD was superior to Bleach in every way. Hell Metallica Metalluca, as boring, uninspired, bishi filled HXH ripoff as it was, was superior to Bleach in every way.

On the whole, the system works very well. But then there are those insanely bad flubs that shake your belief in the entire system.

I care because crap mangas like that are still getting exposure and being published in Jump whereas stuff that I do read gets canned or are in danger of getting canned. I just wish the three that I mentioned took a nose-dive in the rankings and volume sales and just disappeared. I wish the rankings were only there to feed the fans egos, but jump seems to be basing the continuation of a new manga on it's popularity, it just shows how stupid people are for giving bleach a high ranking

dude seriously it isnt bleach's fault, if they did get canned it wouldn't make it any easier for new series, it's the system, and it has pros and cons. One of the cons happen to be some good series with potential get cancelled, it happens.

It would make it easier. Far, far easier. Because a) there would be more available slots in the magazine and b)there would be far more votes to spread around and c)the choices in the questionnaire won't be saturated by hard-core fan votes.

I know. I'm just venting, not that it's going to do anything, that tripe gets ranked highly, whereas superior mangas that still deserve to continue get canned because they are doing poorly in the rankings. The Jump editors should use their common sense in cases where they are idiotically thinking of canning a good series.

Doesn't the fact that they are ranked high mean that some people [Japanese teenagers] like reading Bleach? And isn't it because of high-selling series like Bleach that attract the crowd that Jump can continue to be in production, take gambles on other series and show more mangas off?

You're right, if Bleach gets canned SO DOES ALL OF WEEKLY JUMP

OH SHIT OH SHIT EVERYONE SHUT UP AND ACCEPT THE WORTHLESS TRIPE

Only One Piece and Naruto (maybe Toriko now too) appear to have a fan-following who who buy and vote for that series no matter the chapter since they are always in the same place. So Bleach doesn't really attract a crowd since it was only on the botton five recently for many weeks.

No, I think it's because the arc was disappointing, even for hardcore fans.

Yeah maybe, but I don't think Bleach will ever get to the same spot it once had in the magazine, I think this arc really hurt it.
