So could someone explain exactly what happened in Naruto these past few weeks?

I mean that without biting sarcasm for once.

I tried to read a full chapter for once and there were chains and shit and bodies coming out of bodies and Naruto talking about love and shit and he beat the living bejesus out of Kyubi just to lock him up again.

What happened? I'm genuinely curious.

Seriously though. I thought this manga was about "hard work", "Rick Assley" and shit.

What happened? I'm genuinely curious.

I'll sum it up to the best of my ability. Naruto wants to control the nine-tails' chakra so he attached his chakra to the nine-tails in order to "pull" it in. This created a tug-o-war between the two that Naruto started losing (if his chakra got pulled in by the fox then the fox would have taken over his body). Naruto's mom, just like his father, appeared to him inside his head because it's some kind of jutsu that lets you talk from beyond the grave. She shot some chains at the demon to restrain him so they could have a mother-son bonding moment and then Naruto rasengan'd the demon to bejesus and back.

Now Naruto has the demon's chakra and sealed him away again, fullfilling his mission. His mom reveals that she used to host the nine-tails as the cliffhanger for the last chapter. If I'm missing anything then tell me.
