You find MKS in the final dungeon and in the Bonus Dungeon. The best place to get them is in the Bonus Dungeon, in the floor before Estark.

But yeah, don't stick to the 10-coin slots for long. After about an hour at the 100-coin slots I got five watermelons for 300,000. The chances are much, much easier than those in DQ IV or even DQ VIII.

Got my Gringham whip now! Go enough tokens left to buy another pair of Falcon earrings as well. I was a bit disappointed to see both casino's had the same item though.

Just completed it, 20 hours(With 2 of those being pure casino time, heh).

I chose the new choice when it came to ring of fire/water time(don't want to spoil it for anyone who doesn't already know), which was fun.

The most striking thing about the remake is Gema/Ladja. In the original, the final confrontation between him and the hero was completely anticlimactic, and was the weakest point of the game. The remake gives a far more satisfying resolution.

Needless to say, I'm very happy with the way Enix handled the remake.

i got a question, which monster u think is the best 1? and is Metal Slim Family, recruit able? i have been killing them like 30-40 "metal slim" already, and none join

Metal Slimes and Liquid Metal Slimes are recruitable, but the chances are ridiculous, usually 1/256. I don't think they're worth it, since they have a low recruitment rate AND a low appearance rate AND they run away often. They're pretty good at magic offense and learn a few good skills, but not worth the time and effort to recruit them.

As for best monster, that's tricky. The two secret monsters at the endgame are probably the two strongest monsters in the game, since they have absurd stats at level 99, but that's too much of a time investment to be practical. My favorite monsters are Great Dragons, but despite their awesome stats, awesome attacks, and immunity to fire and ice attacks, their defense will always be poor since their equipment selection blows.

I'd recommend you check out Slime Knights, Healers, and Golems. Slime Knights are found really early, have solid stats, learn Fullheal, can use great equipment, and level up to 99. Healers are only medium-hard to recruit, learn every important healing spell in the game other than Kazing, and also level up to 99. Golems have *awesome* attack and defense, can equip really good equipment, and have a very nice offensive skillset. Those three monsters are easy to find, easy to recruit, and will be useful at every point in the game. Trust me, Metal Slimes aren't worth it.

and another question, is saber going to be a useless pet?, i find his hp and stat r low....i got slime knight, that metal amour guy"clank is his name" and saber in my party. After the wedding biance join, so i change slime knight for her, U think i should throw saber out and get slime knight b to the party line-up?

Saber is fairly strong, but Slime Knight learns fullheal, if I remember right, which is rather useful, so I'd go with that. You can keep Saber levelling up in the wagon, so you can compare the stats anyway.

But Lazzie is right, Golem blasts pretty much anything else out of the water apart from endgame pick ups like gigantes and the secret postgame stuff. He can fully equip one of the best equipment sets too, and he has one of the best spells in the game, meditate, which heals for 0 MP.

Hah. I just realised what Dr Agon's name meant. This was before he transformed though.

You guys do know you can recruit
    Spoiler:
    Dwight da White Dwarf right?
He's in my party and kicking ass at Lvl. 27, by the time he is Lvl. 40 I expect him to be as strong as the Hero

His only real plus is his agility though. Golem is far stronger and has meditate. ^_^

Use it, it can equip the metal equipment set!

I don't think 99 is really necessary. At 30-40 the strongest boss can be beaten with a bit of work, so at 40-50 and you'll be defeating the strongest boss without raising a sweat.

I just watched that video and damn he looked hard. Were those normal slimes fighting him? I really don't feel like training 3 slimes or anyone to level 99. I think I'm just gonna skip him altogether.

Well that is the boss of the bonus dungeon, if you are at a high level you can beat him, its just that Slimes are about as half as strong as the hero.

I beat the boss of the bonus dungeon without dying with characters around level 40-45 (Hero and son were 44-45, Golem was somewhere from 35-40, and Great Dragon was at level 12). I beat him in 21 turns, and apparently he gives you a special item if you beat him in 15 turns or less. Well, I have some more leveling to do....

And also: the final T n T board is a huge pain. I beat it with three rolls left, and a whole lotta luck. The final monsters are pretty neat, though.

I've entered the underworld, but I'm missing the Zenithian Armor. Have I missed it or do I get it later?
