Yeah once upon a time Scar was part of the the Voltron Force the Lion Guard and had magical tatoos that gave powers or something and then he abused it and lost it, and those powers then get picked up by SImba's second kid and his hodgepodge of friends that aren't lions at all.

I only watched the first episode so I have no idea if it got any less dumb or lore breaking but...

Okay, that went from being a cute cameo joke to being ridiculous merchandising pitch. It's... a bit much.

We get it, Disney, you own everything.

    Spoiler:
Also, Pocahontas and Jasmine look really weird. Sameface all the girls have is even more agressivesively same in 3D... except for those two and they just look weeeeird. Pocahontas is especially off model. I mean, being an amazon wasn't really appropriate before but she went from big built muscley busty woman to waif tiny girl with a weird face.

And that whole bit seems very... Shrek Really dunno how to feel about that.

Well that trailer was a wave of nostalgia. I'm impressed they stacked so many jokes and references in that scene in just under 30 seconds. Anyone who grew up with Disney will love that scene I'm sure.

    Spoiler:
I'm not sure if Pocohantas' hair is floating like that intentionally, or if I'm seeing things.

Nope, that's definitely wind magic at work. And Ariel is combing her damn hair with a fork even though its 30 years later. There's lots of little injokes but like I said, it's just so... Shrek-like I don't know how to feel.

Also, are these supposed to be the actual charaters having left their stories? Just digital expies? Are we on Kingdom Hearts rules? How does this even work?

It was already weird enough when all video games had crossover. Going full multimedia and mixing 2D and 3D is just more insane.

Yup. And the stormtroopers. Disney going "we own everything" isn't as interesting as all the princesses in one place for a variety of reasons.

No arguments, I'm sure kids will be saying "why does she look weird?" later on. But I'm embracing the weirdness. The potential for fun is too high.

Fun trailer that gave none of the plot away, which is neat. And Ralph's words about the film's title completely echo my own, lol.

lol. Is Disney trying to satire itself or just being narcissus?

I do like all the tweeting birds though.

    *looks up Cinderella images*

DUDE. She's right. You can see her ears (sorta) in her maid outfit but in her gown her ears are gone. Or completely covered up, which is what I suppose they were going for.

I also am annoyed seeing Elsa grouped with princesses when GOD-FUCKING-DAMMIT she's a Queen.

And yes, I know it's all for business.

The ears and that artstyle makes her look more like Wart to me than anything else.
    Complicating things since 2009.

It looks like it's focusing more on the humans to me.

That pink elephant scene is going to probably scar some folks lol.

That's a really dark depressing version of an already sad song.

It kind of makes it sound like the whole movie is going to be a dystopian horror freak show.

Given that its Tim Burton, well....

I can't do it. I can't see a Dumbo movie, I would cry the entire time.

Well, at least it won't have the racist crows, so I guess that's something.

No signs of a lighthearted mouse friend yet though.

It's ironic. The crows never made me cry, just wince. Those crows were his only friends after Timmy the mouse, and they got the best song in the movie. Still racist though.

Watching a black movie reviewer however, he said, "I dare you to do it!" I couldn't help but laugh.
