Henry Thurlow who worked on last episode did an interview with Crunchyroll where he talks about the animation of some scenes in One Piece

Here's a question. If we get a remake, would you prefer a consistent artstyle for every episode (basically a loyal adaptation of Oda's style) or a hodgepodge of different styles for every few episodes. For example kagenashi for one episode, kanada-school or Imaishi/trigger style for another, webgen etc?

Consistent animation style for remake, different animation for specials/movies (something like movie 6).

P.S. some say that pacing is more important for the ongoing anime, but I think, art and animation is just as important, since with One Pace you can trim all the unnecessary filler, but you can not redraw and/or correct animation mistakes and flubs.

I know im late on this but what exactly happened to Animator's corner? Are there any alternative sites for listing staff, besides ANN and MAL?

Could really feel Komaki's storyboarding this episode. Pretty lively stuff, though Kojima definitely stole the show with his KA.

I believe they had some personal issues that have unfortunately gotten in the way of working on the website. It happens. Is what is it. I'm not sure if there are any other alternatives at this time.

    One Piece upcoming episodes' staff:

    Ep. 945:
    Episode director: Yusuke Suzuki (***)
    Animation supervisor: Kazuya Hisada (***1/2)

    Ep. 946:
    Episode director: Yutaka Nakashima (***1/2)
Animation supervisor: Tu Yong-ce (new) (*****)

    Ep. 947:
    Episode director: Takuhito Sato? (new)
    Storyboard: Akitaro Daichi (***1/2)
Animation supervisors: Ippei Masui (new) and Kaonnuri studio (korean studio) (new)

    Ep. 948:
    Episode director: Yutaka Nakashima (***1/2)
    Animation supervisor: Shuichi Ito (****)

    Ep. 949:
    Episode director: Ken'ichi Takeshita (***)
Animation supervisors: Hirotaka Ito (****) and Toshio Deguchi (**1/2)

Okay this is one of the most unconventional staff lists I've seen in a very long while.

Tu Yong-ce being promoted to the AD position has me very very excited.

Nakashima is a hella fast ED.

947's being outsourced to a foreign studio is definitely odd. Not that it isn't common in the animation industry tho.

Will be interesting to see if he actually manages to solo this episode. Now all he needs is a consistent episode director, too.
