What was the point of Orochimaru re-appearing for 2 seconds during the Sasuke & Itachi fight, only to be "locked into another dimension" by Itachi's random magic sword?

And why hadn't Itachi just used it on Sasuke before, when he had started loosing?

He couldnt use that techiniqe without using the first 2 first. Those snakes appearing with Oro's eyes make me think that Oro is still around. They even showed one getting burnt while sasuke and itachi were "dead". But there were a couple of others around.

I still think Orosasuke is going to happend.

"omg not again, die already"
then 2 second after, he gets locked away, i was like
"what? what the hell was the point of that?"

It was even more pointless when he showed the white snake slithering around after Itachi's death as if it would have some significance only to have it get burned up by Amaterasu.

There was more than one white snake, only one of them got burned. But this will all be null if Oro doesnt return somehow.

What didn't make sense to me is why Sakura was explaining something that Hinata should have explained about Tobi and his ability to phase body parts or his entire body out of existence. She's the one watching his chakra network shit...

... I guess I should be grateful Kishi had her do something this chapter.

Anyway, I hope that power is something he learned or just has (as a ghost) and not yet another broken Bloodline Limit the damn Uchihas get.
