    Thanks!
Yeah, I struggled with that problem for a while too -- then I figured out that if I only spoke of the explicit content in terms of [person]x[other person] and didn't provide any direct links to explicit content, that it would be ok to list the explicit ones here too, since many of our readers are old enough to own explicit doujins (assuming they are comfortable with the level of explicitness).

So the idea that I presented in the post you quoted was what eventually morphed into the artist/circle section of the FAQ that's there now. I've tried to makeit as simple, as objective, and as plain as possible. It's only there to help people identify a particular artist or circle, to know what distinguishes their style from the pack, and to know all the pairings associated with that artist and/or circle -- it's basically a mini-encyclopedia.
    :)

The level of explicitness is (hopefully) obvious from the way the parings are written "x", "+" etc. I've also put a disclaimer in there about how "inclusion in the list doesn't mean endorsement", so that the responsibility to choose the most appropriate doujin for age, comfort-level, squeamishness, etc is each reader's responsibility, not the responsibility of those who write entries for the FAQ (though if course we'll try our best not to mislead people).

And then the actual thread would be where people could discuss the various doujins in a more opinionated way.

I hope that makes some sense? That was my thinking behind it anyways, and admittedly, my mind works in some odd ways sometimes!

    Well.
Author's name is "Great Tanaka ", Circle name is "Vacuum tai"
Has not put out Doujinshi of ONE-PIECE any longer.
    It is very regrettable.

There are a lot of stories all chara gags.
My favorite story is a 「きせきのまち"Kiseki no Machi"」 that is at the end of GomeGome Pirates №11.
Someone had introduced it by this thread before.
    Mmm. Was it dinty?

    Was a little useful?
    If so, it's glad.

Thanks doublefinger! I'll see if I can find any old doujins by Vacuum Tai at Anime Expo next week =D.

Okay, I have another scan dump coming up! These are all illustrations from various doujinshi. I actually enjoy the between story illustrations more than the actual stories sometimes XD!

First off, some illustrations from flill wild, a SmokerxTashigi doujinshi.
    Spoiler:

Yet another SmokerxTashigi doujinshi~! This one is called Misericordia.
    Spoiler:

Since I'm on a Navy kick...here are some additional scans from an all Marines doujinshi called Navy S-Tank.
First up is Coby! I feel the poor boy is rather under-represented but that may change soon~!
    Spoiler:

Speaking of under-representation, my favorite picture from this doujinshi. You can't hate Bellemere, she just kicks total ASS.
    Spoiler:

Even though it's a Marine-centric doujinshi, there's still two very nice pictures of the Alphas featured!
    Spoiler:

Also, I felt like linking the two spreads that are featured within the doujinshi. I felt they were kinda big for the board, even in spoiler tags! I can easily reccomend this doujinshi for it's illustrations alone! The stories are good too, don't worry XP. It's all-character goodness, and squeaky clean to boot!
    http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y67...ABCSpread1.jpg
    http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y67...ABCSpread2.jpg

And just for fun, the last two are illustrations from Goldenboy by Penguin Tanteidan! Featuring Makino, Vivi, Bunny Nami and a cute Mr.9+Vivi picture!

I'm sure there is. A lot of the pairing get a significant boost in popularity whenever two characters have a special scene together in the manga. With Franky's line to Robin that it's not a sin to be alive, there has to be some doujins of the FraRo pairing.

Also, as Dinty said before, it seems when a lot of people in these threads are interested in a certain pairing, that pairing will pop up more often on auction sites. I think doujin sellers visit this thread quite often.

Ok, gonna start and post pics from my doujins. Non hentai ones of course. If there is one you'll like to see that you know I have, just ask.

Anyways, first up is one of, if not my fave doujin of em all. A lovely RoLu doujinshi where the three DF users are sent to a swimming pool.

Ayup Iron Law! All of the ones from Coby to the color spreads are from Navy S-Tank alone! Isn't it awesome? X3.

And to Brisa, I'll scan a bigger picture for you a little later. However Navy S-Tank only has two appearances by Helmeppo, and they are so small you barely notice him! It baffles my mind!

NoraDora -- I'm glad you're pleased with JPQueen.
Please see the FAQ at the beginning of this thread for info about ordering from YahooJapan.

Everyone else, thanks for sharing your scans, and yes, "S'Tank" is a great purchase for anyone who loves the Marines. Fun all-chara doujin with great art. Several copies were floating around E-Bay a while back for $5-$15, but I suspect they're gone now. I haven't checked E-bay in a while.

JPQueen. I was just going to ask you, dinty, for the link to that site with all the doujins. Guess that's been taken care of for me already.

Actually, JPQueen is usually much cheaper than E-Bay -- even with the added shipping costs. (For instance, the person who was selling "S'Tank" on Ebay for only $5 was also located in Japan, so the shipping costs would be the same as for JPQueen)

The typical cost of a doujin on JPQueen is $7 + shipping. The typical cost of a doujin on E-bay is $20 + shipping (which will vary if the seller is in USA, Europe or in Japan.

You bring up a valid point about Paypal -- however, it wasn't JPQueen's choice to stop using Paypal -- it was Paypal's insistence. You'll find that to be true of nearly any Japanese doujinshi store that stocks and supplies hentai. This is because Paypal considers hentai to be pornographic, and will not allow any distributer of pornography to use Paypal's services for their transactions. (Paypal seldom goes after individuals who sell hentai though, so if you've purchased hentai from a fansite or Ebay via Paypal, that's why).

So even if you never purchase a hentai item from a Japanese doujinshi store, you'll still have to pay in a way other than Paypal. It's inconvenient, but as of yet, there's nothing the vendors can do to change it (except not stock hentai anymore, which is probably a significant source of their sales, so I doubt that would happen).

So what other ways can you pay?

    Money orders
Kagi (similar to Paypal, but without the X-rated restriction)
    and credit card.

(even though some vendors say they will accept "well-concealed cash", that's a huge risk for both of you, so I don't recommend it).

As always, it's up to each fan to determine his/her comfort level in terms of payment and vendor -- so if E-bay makes you feel more comfortable than JPQueen, by all means use E-bay.

However, one thing I will insist is that everyone try not to make sweeping generalizations about the services of a company they've never actually investigated or used. Feel free to comment about them -- positive or negative -- after you've used them though.

    Hope this helps.

(Oh, and Iron Law, I apologize if this sounds like I'm picking on you. That wasn't my intention. I've tried to fix the tone so that it won't seem so).

Price of the Doujinshi in Japan.

Circle sets the price of the book and sells it.
In the price of the book, the print fee is most.
For instance, participation cost and other expenditure might be added.

As a rough standard. A cover in the case of color printing
    B5 size and page 40 = 800-1,000 yen
    A5 size and page 40 = 400-600 yen

Because this is not an absolute standard, it is different in Doujinshi.
    Please understand it.
When it is sold as a used book in YahooJapanAuction and JPQueen、Mandarake, price is different.
Because the JPQueen、Mandarake is a Japanese enterprise, The price changes in proportion to popularity.
In addition, when circulation is a little, it becomes more expensive.

Because I don't have the knowledge of the E-Bay,
    the price is not understood…(^_^;)

Does understand though my sentences are unskilled?
    Do serve as a reference?
