Re: Game of Thrones (tv show thread)

My kneejerk reaction is that I liked it, but I read the leaks so I knew what was coming and just rolled with it.

Best scene was Brienne writing about Jaime. That actually got me a bit emotional....

Re: Game of Thrones (tv show thread)

I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but out of the two big controversial twists this season (Night King death and Mad Queen Dany), I consider this one the better of the two. Dany...

Re: Game of Thrones (tv show thread)

My memory of both FMAs is pretty foggy, but I remember Dante being an okay villain, or at least compared to Father (who just felt like a typical evil overlord to me.). What was wrong with her?

    I...

Re: Game of Thrones (tv show thread)

Why is this season so short anyway? It's the biggest show in the world. It's not like it was in danger of being canceled or anything, they could have taken all the time they needed.

Re: Game of Thrones (tv show thread)

As a latecomer who marathoned the first 7 seasons, I didn't have THAT many issues with seasons 5-7 (Mostly just how Jaime and Tyrion were written (and I guess Jon too, but frankly I never liked him...

Re: Game of Thrones (tv show thread)

I'm not sure whether or not Bronn showing up at the North is a plot hole, but it felt weird and awkward to me either way.

Hopefully next episode is the final battle, and the one after that is...

Re: Game of Thrones (tv show thread)

At first I gave this episode a pass because despite all of the writing issues I still thought it was "well executed and suspenseful for what it was (aside from all of the darkness and fog at the...

Re: Game of Thrones (tv show thread)

Even though I had fun with the episode, it didn't live up to nearly a whole series worth of buildup.

I kind of wish they pulled a Shonen and had the final battle be multiple episodes long.

Re: Game of Thrones (tv show thread)

Early part of the episode was pretty weak since for some stupid reason they thought that having an action scene obscured by fog was a good idea. It much got better after that, stayed pretty...

Why is Sansa/Theon a thing now? Who asked for that?

Re: Game of Thrones (tv show thread)

Nothing particularly obscure like that. Although in terms of major moments, Cersei blowing up the Church(or whatever it's called) was my favorite scene in the entire series. Arya killing the Frey...

Re: Game of Thrones (tv show thread)

Late to the party (but early to the season), but I finally caught up a week or two ago. Had a really good time overall, although I can imagine some seasons must have been a pain to watch one episode...
