  1. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

Thanks for that. It’s not bad. Something like that could work.
  2. Re: 957: "Big News! An Incident Concerning the Seven Warlords of the Sea"

I missed it when the manga chapter came out. What’s the big speculation? They’re blaming Sabo for kidnapping Vivi and killing her father? That’s my bet. Probably someone went to kill Vivi/Cobra and...
  3. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

Do you have a time stamp by chance? Their episodes are like three hours long.
  4. Sticky: Re: 958: ''The Legendary Battle! Garp and Roger''

Looks like next episode will cover 22 pages. That’s probably the largest page count for an episode in years. I can’t remember last time they covered an entire chapter and a half or more.
  5. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

Hasn’t it been way more random for the last few months? And then One Poece specifically has been updated at a way different time since early in season ten. Just saying solicitations aren’t at all...
  6. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

Remember when we used to get solicitations on the 15th? I’d say I miss those days, but I got so used to them being disappointments for two years straight that I really don’t miss them at all. Random...
  7. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

They need to get him back to play another major character. It wouldn’t be hard since shiki was so distinct.

Anyone have any guesses for Kaido?
  8. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

Man, favorite voice actors? That’s tough. My favorite performance ever is Shiki in SW, so maybe that guy for me. But I don’t read the credits as much as many of y’all.
  9. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

Can't wait. This'll be the best set yet, and I'll be so happy to be through Blocks A-D.
  10. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

I guess they could also just drop the voyage without any prior notice, similar to how they did with the first set.
  11. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

Oh yeah, it’s not just screaming, though. That dude whispered ALL his lines in Ep of Sabo.
  12. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

I think it'll slow them down a little, for sure.

Did you notice that, due to COVID home recording, they're now pulling talent from different states more? I'd expect a host of brand new actors for...
  13. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

Both voyages from the new season are now available on PSN. Hoping the third voyage will drop there on release day. I’m betting this is why the third voyage will arrive late (if indeed it does).
  14. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

Looking like it’ll be a longer wait between OP sets this time around, if I had to bet.

Next set has plenty of exciting content. Can’t wait.
  15. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

He did a wonderful job as Scratchman Apoo. The voice fit perfectly and the performance was always fun or funny. He’ll certainly be missed when they recast him.

  16. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

Yeah, I was wondering if it was a Straw Hat. Obviously awful regardless, but can’t help wondering. The way they speak makes it sound like a very openly loving person, the Ian Sinclair type. No point...
  17. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

Luckily, I don’t really care about text on packaging. If I even read it once, I’ll never end up reading it again. I knows what content is in the sets from the absurdly long episode titles.
  18. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

Not that weird. They’re probably just finally sorting out whatever the holdup was. Hopefully they can get v2 up soon and have v3 come out at the same time with Microsoft.

    Slightly surprised they...
  19. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

    Funimation still hasn’t shipped mine.
  20. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

I feel like this forum traveled back in time to 2006.
  21. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

I would be very surprised if they used it in the dub. That’s just failure to translate a word.

That said, I remember being very surprised when I heard Sanji say “Nami-san” a while back. I think...
  22. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

Really nice seeing all the chapter 1000 celebrations on Twitter. If Funi was smart, they’d announce voyage three today.
  23. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

You don’t get it. If the back half of the sentence doesn’t have lip flaps, the syllable count doesn’t matter.
  24. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

May 2021 be an even better year for OP than 2020. Excited to potentially knock out DR within 2021.

Honestly, if it’s a trade of a few mistakes per set in exchange for monthly releases, I’ll take...
  25. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

Again, I don't think any director would be stupid enough to change a character's rank just to match lip flaps.
  26. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

A director would have to be a real idiot to purposefully change the rank of a character just to fill syllables. Also, the writer is responsible for matching the syllables, not the director. This is...
  27. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

Nah. No translator would use wrong information to fill syllables. There are much easier or better ways to do that. This was a mistake.
  28. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

Nah. The mistakes are valid issues; you’re just overblowing them. The issue isn’t criticizing an uptick in mistakes; funimation definitely needs to improve their quality checking. The problem is you...
  29. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

It’s not that big a deal, the errors, but they definitely need a proof viewer. Someone who’s the equivalent of a copyeditor. The mistakes are definitely becoming too frequent—more than they used to...
  30. Re: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)

I don’t really remember any mistakes last set. Were there any?
