By expensive episodes, they presumably mean that they want to earn the sales revenue first, considering the amount spent in licensing. Back to back quick releases may translate to more money getting...

Nah, it has more so to do with the date (from 14th to 17th of the month) than the day. Last month, slate went up on Monday and it was Thursday for the March one.
