Fair. Generally I prefer official release to scans.

My brain keeps seeing it as "RUBY", and that just makes me think of Pokemon.

Aohige or someone else here compared it to the Simpsons iirc

Which makes sense. Both are long running series, and even when they weren't as popular in their later years....they'd still be around.

I've always been intrigued by Kochikame. Lasting that long (it's a gag manga?).

I guess I should get into Academia, because once Bleach and Nisekoi end....O-One Piece will be the manga I follow weekly. I collect other series, but mostly on my own time buying the actual volumes....

Nah, I'm just surprised. I know it's a little more serious than its original run, but I know To Love-Ru is (in)famous for its fanservice.

Now I'm curious to question to see the meeting.

"we need some kind of leering old man type....but it has to stand out, art-wise."
"how about we make him after someone's likeness?"

Yeah, that's where I was puzzled - Stan Lee cameoing in a manga with a cover like that?

I wouldn't want them to do it either, if that would mean them betraying their own creation and pride to do so. But then again, what mangaka would willingly do that?
