Hau reaches X/Y's crew and Brandon/May levels of being too happy imo, but then again, we're on a chill tropical island and nothing can get him down. So I can't dislike him lol.
Gladion is way cooler tho.

There's some Igglybuff on the second island, but all the male ones I got had the Competitive ability. Then I remembered I captured a male Eevee, so I force fed him with poke beans and pet the crap out of him until I got a male Sylveon.
Now I have a Timid Salandit on my pocket called Bonnie.

This is weird. Mom is a t1000.
Yup
Played the crap out of gen 1 and then skipped over the following gens until gen 6 and even then I only played Y casually, beating the main story and nothing else and didn't really look too much into it. It'll be this gen where I'll start playing somewhat seriously.
Some of my hard-earned gen 1 experience will prove obsolete it seems (I've already been blindsighted by familiar mons not been weak to elements I remembered thanks to type changes).
I just fucking found a fucking shiny Cubone. It's my first wild shiny so I'm so fucking happy right now.
I also hope with Lana that it's a strapping young Swimmer.
Now I'm basically just legendary/Ultra Beasts soft resetting for the disaster that will be post Pokebank online (aka Pokemon Showdown right now) and no with Bottle Caps I don't need to worry about IV's as much.
But they're looking to be a pain in the ass to get which doesn't look fun lmao.
Second totem was actually challenging!? I wasn't expecting that! First fun battle in pokémon since... forever.
The whole team was lvl.20~21 and the School+Alomomola combo managed to take down 4 (Fomantis, Crabrawler, Mudbray and Cutiefly - who took Alomomola out) before Drampa could finally defeat Wishiwashi.
And since I shouldn't have access to a pokémon of Drampa's caliber so soon, the fight could have been even better with only Butterfree left and everything depending on Sleep Powder not wearing out. Still, the final rounds were pretty dramatic with Drampa disbanding the school with a FusRoDah (Echoed Voice), then leaving the final fish paralysed by fear (Glare) and then BTFO of it (Twister).
p.s.: I didn't even remember I could have used Z-Moves, but either way I am not using those.
p.p.s.: Lana is actually a funny character. Another surprise.
I'll re-phrase: I wish I could find a better flying type. The dancing birds sadly aren't as handy as I'd hoped. I've got a pom-pom electric type bird, but it doesn't learn any electric moves?! How pointless. And while I love Fletchling, if I'm going to have Sandalit on my team, that would be two fire types, which I don't need.
Tauros/Stoutland aren't as fast as a good pair of roller skates or a bicycle. Fun as they are to ride.
Aaaannnnd, where do you get a cute charm?
I think I have a crush on Gladion.
At that point of the game the Jiggs family and sylveon. Well also milotic, but chain fishing a feebas and getting the lamer ability would be a waste of time and effort.
About to start the third trial right now and here is my team:
Kairi ( Female Torracat FTW) LVL 25
Woody (Trumbeak) LVL 24
Rockman (Rockruff) LVL 23
Punchy (Crabrawler) LVL 21
PsychoMantis (Fomantis) LVL 21
Also have a Mudbray (Epona), Grimer and Ledian at LVL 20 in my box for team on the side.
Leech Life got quite the buff, too bad it can barely be taught to anything.
The only reason Leech Life got a buff was to make Buzzwhole cooler.

Save in Pokemon Centers at your own risk
So apparently Stand By Me is part of Pokemon canon.
Oh, you're not using your starter? That's roughly the same levels as most of my team, except Dartrix is 26.
