actually, the xeon w3690 is compatible with my board, both are lga 1366. i want to buy it instead of getting its i7 equivalent (the 990x) is because it's alot cheaper (it's one third the price) and is practically the same cpu as an i7-990x. don't believe me? here look: https://ark.intel.com/compare/52585,52586

hey man, how is life going with you? hope you're doing very well.
so i scrapped that pre-build pc idea and decided to build one myself.
im low on a budget so looked around for something cheap but can play games at reasonable settings, and found myself an an asus p6t with an I7-950 processor.
both the board and the CPU are very rare to find in here because of how old they are but it's pretty decent for gaming.
got them both for 215$, they're used off course but i've tested them both before buying them. i've used every benchmarking and torture stressing software imaginable, to the point that the guy who sold it to me offered me a discount if i give some of them to him lol. thankfully it performed well and didn't show any signs of a bad cooling or any of the sorts.
im thinking about pairing it with a gtx 960 and maybe later down the line replace the cpu with a xeon w3670 or an w3690 but first i need to build this thing.
so what do you think? is it good?

Saw someone play on Delta, no wonder people were calling me bad jajajaja. Such smoothness, I think I was under the notion of "kill everything that opposes you" that's why I was always under fire and such. Using the binoculars, trying to do more of 1-shot kills for bullets, etc.

thanks alot for taking the time to help me out man. after much calculation it seems i would be spending 800+ dollars on that pc with all of it's upgrades. which is approximately the price of gaming rigs. but as someone who can't pay that much all at once, getting it piece by piece is pretty much the only choice i have.

im still not sure, so i'll snoop around some more and see if i can build one myself with a lesser cost.
for curiousty sake, can you tell me how much did you pay for a gaming pc and what specs did you get?
